Between Blogcritics and Twitter, I’ve been remiss a bit in updating this blog. Apologies.

Big news! My daughter is getting married, so things are incredibly hectic

  1. Hello Barbara! I love your essays, so I would be very happy to see an analytical episode guide. A guide with a Huddy bias would be a big seller with our particular crowd!

By the way, we Official Fox Huddies and devotees of Cuddy’s desk have christened the desk “Rosewood” (long story!)

  2. I have really enjoyed reading your “House M.D.” blog, as well as reading your comments in the “Too Handsome for Paperwork” site. Given the current hectic state of your life (congratulations! but however joyful your daughter’s wedding will be, it will still be stressful) and with the recent court case by J.K. Rowling against a fan-written book about the Harry Potter series, before you invest a big chunk of your personal time in the book, you might want to ensure that doing so won’t buy you a court case.

But do keep up the GREAT articles online. A “House M.D.” episode is never complete for me until I’ve read your review of it, and read all the comments from other viewers who are as fascinated as I am by this intelligent and compelling storytelling.

  3. Hi Barbara,

I voted for the Analytical Episode Guide as I think you do such a remarkable job on your blogcritics blog. I look forward to them (and subsequent comments) as much as the show!

Can you please provide the link to your Too Handsome for Paperwork site. I never knew it existed until I read Comment #2 here.

Congratualtions on the upcoming wedding! I can only imagine how exciting a time it is for you and your daughter.

  4. Hi Barbara, congrats. on your daughter’s wedding. I love your columns on blogcritics. I have tried to comment from time to time, but have always received the message that “Akismet says this is spam.” It really isn’t. Any idea tho why I keep getting that message?

You’re a great House fan and I love your analysis of that character along with the show reviews and the interviews of course. Good luck with the wedding.

  5. Thank you all for your well wishes on my daughter’s wedding 🙂 Cheryl–don’t know why askimet gobbles your comments. I’m not entirely sure how it works, myself. Thanks too for all of the kind remarks about this space of mine. If there’s anything in the way of House or anything else you’d like me to write about here or on BC–this is the place to do it!

As far as THFP goes, feel free to email me at sasmom1@gmail.com and I’ll point you in the right direction.

  6. Barbara,

Another person who really enjoys your articles on House.

I have a question: I’d like to contact David Foster, the MD writer of many House episodes, on the issue of chronic pain and addiction vs. physical dependence. I think it’s grossly misrepresented on the show. [see my long post at http://nosleepingdogs.wordpress.com/2009/01/25/dr-houses-writers-betray-pain-patients/ for the details).

Can you give me an email address or another way? I know how to put a stamp on a letter still, I think.
